Classicco

Classical piano & musicianship for adults

Learn piano by understanding music.

For adults who want to understand classical music, develop a musical ear, and learn piano with clarity rather than shortcuts.

No audition. No prior experience required.

What makes this different

Three ideas shape every lesson.

Listen first

Every lesson begins with the ear. You learn to hear pulse, line and harmony before your hands are asked to reproduce them. Playing becomes far easier once you know what you are listening for.

Understand what you play

We read the score for meaning, not only for notes. You learn why a phrase rises and where a harmony leans, so practice becomes thinking rather than repetition.

Learn at an adult pace

No exercises invented for children, and no rush toward a recital. Lessons are prepared for the person at the instrument, and progress is measured by what you can hear and explain.

Who this is for

You are probably one of three people.

Complete beginners

You have never played the piano before. We start from the beginning, properly and without embarrassment.

Returning pianists

You played years ago and stopped. The hands remember a little; we continue the understanding.

Classical music lovers

You already love this music and want to understand it from inside. No notation required to begin.

The foundations of musical understanding

A relationship with sound comes first.

Every musician begins by developing a relationship with sound. At Classicco, we build the essential foundations that allow you to understand and express music: listening, rhythm, reading, harmony, and musical thinking.

About the teacher

Melanie, the founder of Classicco.

I began studying classical piano at the age of six in the Czech Republic and continued through conservatory studies before graduating from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in 2023.

My education was shaped by performance, competitions and intensive practice — but also by a difficult experience. After years of practising for many hours a day, I developed problems with my right hand. That period forced me to rethink what real progress in music means: technique alone was not enough. Understanding, listening and intelligent practice became essential.

I have been teaching since the age of nineteen — first at a Czech music school, later online during the pandemic, and then full-time, teaching piano, music history and music theory.

Working with both children and adults convinced me that most adult beginners are not held back by a lack of talent. They are held back by a quiet psychological barrier: the feeling that they started too late, that music belongs to those who began as children, or that classical music is beyond their reach.

I founded Classicco in 2026 to offer a different kind of musical education — one that respects limited time, intellectual curiosity and the wish to understand classical music deeply. My aim is not simply to help you play pieces, but to help you hear, read, think and practise as a musician. Today I live in France and teach adults online.
